Asked a lot lately, so here it is straight. Does Myers cocktail have glutathione in the classic version? No. That bag is magnesium and vitamin C with a set of B vitamins behind them, and the recipe stopped there. Two bags on our Tulsa menu do carry glutathione, and one of them is those same nutrients with glutathione alongside. Which one you want depends on why you're asking.
We list our sources at the bottom so you can check us.
No, and the reason is duller than you'd think. The name came out of one physician's own practice and no governing body ever stamped a recipe for it, which is why our Myers' cocktail page says usually. What usually goes in is magnesium, vitamin C and a group of B vitamins. Vitamins and minerals, both of which the NHS defines this way: Vitamins and minerals are nutrients your body needs in small amounts to work properly and stay healthy. Glutathione isn't either one. It was never on that list.
Plenty of places add it and keep the name anyway. There's no standard to break.
Your cells build it themselves. MedlinePlus Genetics, from the National Library of Medicine, puts it this way: These reactions are necessary for the production of glutathione, a small molecule made of three protein building blocks (amino acids). Three amino acids, strung together inside you. Same page, on what it's for: Glutathione is called an antioxidant because of its role in protecting cells from the damaging effects of these unstable molecules. The unstable molecules are leftovers from your cells making energy. You make the mess, you make the cleanup crew.
So you're not starting from nothing. NCCIH, the NIH center for complementary and integrative health, is clear that the bulk of that work is already handled: Research has shown that antioxidant enzymes are the most important components of this defense system. Enzymes, not any one ingredient in a bag. We teach that before we sell anything, because it's the part the menus leave out.
Cellular Reset is $215, all in, and holds normal saline with B-complex, vitamin C, glutathione and magnesium. Put that beside the classic nutrients and you can see what it is. The Myers three, with glutathione added. It's the bag we run most often and step one of the Longevity Path. Over in Broken Arrow it's one of our three most booked, next to Energy and Hydrate at $199 and the $179 Hangover Helper. If you came here wanting a Myers style bag with glutathione in it, that's this one.
Super Immunity is $199 and keeps the B-complex and the vitamin C, drops the magnesium and brings in zinc next to the glutathione. Our page for it says what it's for: the bag people reach for when something is going around. It's the same glutathione in both. What sits next to it is what changes.
Pick by the reason, not by the name. Monthly upkeep, that is Cellular Reset. Something coming on this week, Super Immunity.
Our bags come built, not customized, which trips people up. The $25 add-ons are injections of B12, Zofran or vitamin D, so a nurse can't drop glutathione into a bag that doesn't already list it. The full IV menu prints the ingredients for every bag we run, one flat price each, no surprise fees. If you read labels this closely you'll want the caffeine in a hydration IV answer too. We come to you in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Owasso and the rest of the seven cities, often the same day.
Most of your antioxidants come off a plate. The same NIH center says so with no hedging: Additional antioxidants come from foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. A bag adds to that. It doesn't replace it.
Which is why nobody here will sell you glutathione for a condition. It's upkeep, and we'll say that to your face. Dr. Canaday reviews every bag before a registered nurse runs it, so the questions at your kitchen table stay ordinary. Your medication list. Your kidneys. Pregnancy. How the last IV went, if there was one. If any of that says no, you'll hear no instead of a booking link. Asked constantly, answered honestly.
This page is reading, and it is not medical advice. Everything above came off three government health pages and our own menu, and none of it knows a thing about your chart. Kidney trouble, pregnancy or a long prescription list belongs with the clinician who does. Anything urgent goes to 911 rather than to us.
